Instructional Chukkas
This is the best way to progress from lessons to matches, with guidance from professionals playing live
polo. It gives the time to improve technique and build a greater knowledge of the rules of the game. This
can also help to iron out any bad habits picked up from the previous tournament!
Tuesdays at 4pm. £50 per chukka including horse, £20 on own horse.
Informal Chukkas (Practise)
A casual opportunity to practise the finer arts of polo without tournament pressures. Located on the
Meadow ground or the practise ground, come along and join in. We try to ensure that teams are balanced
to allow the more experienced players to provide an open and enjoyable game. This can be thirsty work
and can often be followed with a drink or two afterwards!
Wednesdays at 5pm, Saturday and Sunday at 11am.
Matches
The next stage up the polo ladder. Competitive chukkas on either of the full size grounds. Although informal
players are required to be dressed in polo whites and team shirts, with an umpire and paramedic cover.
Vet and Farrier on standby. With a prize to the winning team.
From £250 per team.
Tournaments
The club at Burningfold will host eight tournaments in May, June, July, August and September
during 2010. See fixtures tab.
We can organise all aspects of your team and/or help you find a team. The winning however is
down to you!
